'Tea with Everything’ Brings Theatrical Delight to Vizag Audience
Visakhapatnam: Hyderabad-based theatre group, The Torn Curtains, is bringing their play Tea with Everything to Visakhapatnam.
Adapted by Kanishka Dasgupta from Neil Simon’s The Good Doctor, the play features a series of short stories by the celebrated Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. The stories, a blend of humor and emotion, introduce characters that are innocent, clever, and quirky.
The play revolves around a writer struggling with writer’s block, who shares her personal stories and experiences with the audience. Through her narration, the audience will enjoy four short plays: The Sneeze, A Defenceless Creature, The Arrangement, and Too Late for Happiness.
The performance is scheduled for September 28 (Saturday) at 7:30 pm at The Park Hotel. Established 53 years ago, The Torn Curtains has performed over 100 plays across India, the US, Canada, and Dubai, focusing on entertainment and social awareness.
Founder Mala Pasha shares, "As one of the oldest theatre groups, we are dedicated to creating social impact through our art. Theatre connects people, stories, and cultures, holding the power to make meaningful change."
