The Inter-media Sports Meet will begin on January 3rd in Visakhapatnam



The press club working group is making arrangements to hold the Vizag Journalists' Forum and the CMR Inter Media Sports Meet from January 3rd to 12th. Mavuri Venkataramana, the organization's president, unveiled the tournament trophies related to this sports meet on Tuesday, at the CMR Shopping Mall, Judge Court. Speaking to the media, He stated the InterMedia Sports Meet has been held on a regular basis with the Vizag Journalists Forum for the past 22 years. He added that such sports will improve the health and mental well-being of journalists who are under work pressure.

 


Gantla Srinubabu, president of the Vizag Journalists' Forum, stated that the forum works for the benefit of its members. Recently, for Diwali, an approximately Rs. 8 lakh fireworks distribution program was undertaken, following which, the prestigious awards ceremony and the distribution of scholarships to journalists' children were held. He also added that his ruling class has set aside approximately Rs. 23 lakhs for the medical expenses of its members. 

The Inter-Media Sports Meet will be held from January 3 to January 12, 2023. While athletics, chess, and caroms will be held for three days at the Port Indoor Stadium, cricket competitions will be held from January 5 to 12 at the Port Cricket Ground. The details of the sports meet can be obtained during the office hours of the VJF Press Club, Dabagardens.

VJF Secretary Dahar Ravikumar, VJF Vice President, and  Awards Committee Chairman R. Nagaraj Patnaik said that enthusiastic journalists can participate in outdoor and indoor competitions. Print and electronic media, desk journalists, photo and video journalists, and web and women journalists will be given the opportunity to participate in the respective competitions, and accreditation cards for journalists are mandatory or else they should have the organization's identity card.
