On Sunday morning, the beach road was transformed into a sea of green as over 7000 people ran in green t-shirts to support the Rotary Vista-organized "Run to Read" campaign for literacy awareness and women's empowerment. The 5K and 10K runs were held in association with Rotary Institute 2022. 

Sri K. Haribabu, Governor of Mizoram, and Rotary Institute Chairman Ch. Kishore Kumar flagged off the run at RK Beach Road. This run was attended by enthusiastic runners and participants from all walks of life.   

                      
 Rotarian Rambabu, President of Vizag Diamonds, said that the event was a success thanks to the help of many Rotarians from the city. Capt. Kali Prasad, a Rotarian, thanked the participating colleges, Andhra University, the Indian Navy, the Coast Guard, IT companies, the CISF, and others, as well as the main sponsor, Idhayam, without whom this would not have been possible.
