Alluri District: A tragic incident unfolded at the Jalatarangini waterfalls in Maredumilli following heavy rains that caused the waters to surge.
Five medical college students were swept away by the powerful current. While two students managed to reach safety near the causeway, three others remain missing.
The students had just ventured to the waterfalls for a bath when the sudden surge occurred. The missing individuals are believed to have been carried away by the floodwaters.
Missing Students:
1. Ch. Haradeep
2. K. Sowmya
3. B. Amrutha
All three are second-year medical students from Eluru's ASRAM Medical College. Rescue efforts are underway to locate them.
