Visakhapatnam: In a heart-wrenching incident, three young individuals lost their lives when the scooter they were riding veered off the road and plunged into a valley along the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB). The victims have been identified as Janni Balaraju (21), Marri Jayaraju (22), and Marri Siva (21).

According to the police report, all three victims hailed from Anasabhadra village in Manyam district. They had traveled to Nagalibedda and Borigi villages in AOB for personal reasons on Wednesday.

Tragically, while returning home on their scooter late at night, the rider lost control while navigating a steep curve on the ghat road. The vehicle tragically careened into the valley, resulting in the instant loss of their lives. The Narayanpatna police in Odisha were responsible for retrieving the bodies from the valley and have since arranged for post-mortem examinations.

Adding to the tragedy, one of the deceased, Balaraju, served as a village volunteer and was the sole breadwinner for his family. Authorities suspect that excessive speed on the ghat road may have been a contributing factor to this unfortunate accident.
