Tragic Incident: Carbon Monoxide Claims Lives of Two Telugu Students in the US
In a heartbreaking incident, the mystery surrounding the demise of two Telugu students in Hartford town, Connecticut, US, has been unraveled.
Gattu Dinesh (22) from Wanaparthy district, Telangana, and R Nikesh (22) from Palakonda of Parvathipuram Manyam district were discovered lifeless in their room, victims of carbon monoxide emitted by a room heater.
Both students were pursuing master’s degrees in computer science at the University of Sacred Heart and were roommates.
The tragedy unfolded on Sunday (January 14) when their family members received key points from the US post-mortem report, revealing that the cause of death was inhalation of carbon monoxide gas.
According to Nikesh's uncle, K Srirambabu, the three students shared a room in Hartford.
On a cold Saturday night, Nikesh and Dinesh used room heaters to stay warm while their roommate went out for a movie and slept in the drawing room.
When the roommates tried to contact Nikesh and Dinesh on Sunday, there was no response. Concerned, the police were notified, and upon breaking into the room, they found both students unconscious.
Despite efforts, they were declared dead upon examination and subsequently transported to the hospital.
