In a devastating road accident in Visakhapatnam’s Gajuwaka area, a lorry lost control and rammed into a Xerox shop, claiming one life and leaving the community in shock. The incident occurred late on Monday evening, sending shockwaves across the bustling neighborhood. 

 Eyewitnesses reported that the lorry, which was speeding, veered off its path and plowed into the shop, causing extensive damage. The victim, identified as a local resident who was present in the shop at the time, succumbed to injuries on the spot. Several others narrowly escaped the tragic incident.  

Disturbing videos of the accident have surfaced on social media, capturing the chaos that unfolded moments after the crash. The footage shows the lorry embedded in the wreckage of the shop, with bystanders rushing to rescue anyone trapped inside. Emergency services arrived swiftly to clear the debris and assess the situation.  

Preliminary investigations suggest that brake failure might have caused the lorry to lose control. Authorities have taken the driver into custody and are conducting further inquiries to determine the exact cause of the accident.  

Local residents expressed their concerns about increasing road accidents in the area, attributing them to speeding vehicles and lack of adequate traffic regulation. “This is not the first time such an accident has happened here. We urge authorities to install speed breakers and enforce stricter traffic rules to prevent such tragedies,” said a resident of Gajuwaka.  

The incident has left the victim’s family devastated. Officials from the GVMC and local leaders have visited the site and assured necessary action to address safety concerns in the area.
