Union Minister Commends India's Progress Under Prime Minister Modi's Leadership

Visakhapatnam: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, A. Narayanaswamy, has lauded the significant strides India is making under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking in Visakhapatnam, he emphasized the remarkable achievements of the nation, with special mention of the Chandrayaan mission, attributing its success to India's dedicated scientists and engineers.

The Minister's remarks came during an event where Prime Minister Modi virtually launched the ninth round of the Rozgar Mela.

This initiative aimed to issue appointment orders to over 51,000 individuals selected through recruitment tests across various government departments, simultaneously at 45 locations throughout the country.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi congratulated the newly recruited employees and urged them to rededicate themselves to the nation's progress during their tenure as government employees.

Addressing a large gathering at the Sagarmala Convention in Kailasapuram, where the Prime Minister's address was broadcast on large screens, Mr. Narayanaswamy highlighted the significance of the Postal Department (India Post), which ranks as the third-largest government organization in India. He credited the BJP government for introducing a Bill advocating 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies.

He also praised the PM Visvakarma Yojana, recently launched by Mr. Narendra Modi, as a boon for artisans, craftsmen, as well as Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs). Mr. Narayanaswamy stressed that the Prime Minister prioritizes employment generation, with a target of providing jobs to one million people by the end of the year.

Chief Post Master General V. Ramulu revealed that a total of 163 candidates had been selected for employment across six government departments, with 119 of them hailing from the Postal Department.

Regarding queries from the media regarding the arrest of former Chief Minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development Scam case, the Union Minister stated, "It's not today's case. It had happened long ago. Mr. Naidu's name was not mentioned in the FIR then. The case was opened before elections. As the case is in court, I would not like to comment on it."

He further emphasized that the court would ultimately decide on the matter, delivering its verdict on whether there was a scam or not, and stressed that it should not be politicized.
