Visakhapatnam Collector Declared Local Holiday on Election counting day



Visakhapatnam: The government has declared local holidays in Visakhapatnam District on two significant dates in May and June 2024, coinciding with the General Elections to the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh (APLA).

These holidays will be observed on the day of polling, May 13, 2024 (Monday), and on the day of vote counting, June 4, 2024 (Tuesday).

In accordance with the orders issued by the government, all institutions, including Municipal Corporations, Municipal Committees, and universities established by Central, Provincial, or State Acts, will observe local holidays on these dates. This decision aims to facilitate the smooth conduct of the elections and ensure maximum voter participation.
