Shri M N Harendhira Prasad, IAS the newly appointed District Collector of Visakhapatnam, has set forth an ambitious agenda centered around the skill development of the district's youth.

Taking charge on Wednesday, Prasad, a 2015 batch IAS officer, articulated his administration's commitment to nurturing the potential of young residents through comprehensive skill training programs.

"Our priority is to devise robust strategies for imparting skill training across various domains, thereby fostering employment opportunities," Prasad affirmed.

In addition to youth empowerment, the collector outlined key developmental goals aimed at enhancing various sectors within Visakhapatnam.

These include revitalizing the tourism industry, ensuring universal access to clean drinking water, enhancing medical services—particularly through initiatives like Arogya Sri—and upgrading urban infrastructure and amenities.

Prasad's proactive approach underscores the administration's dedication to addressing pressing socio-economic challenges while laying the groundwork for sustainable growth.
