Visakhapatnam district recorded 2K + cases in a single day once again

The single-day COVID-19 tally crossed the 2,000-mark once again in Visakhapatnam district. It recorded 2,258 new cases in the last 24 hours. The cumulative tally is 1,78,111.
Even though, there is increase in COVID-19 cases since the last 10 to 15 days, very few people are being admitted in the hospital which is a huge relief to the health authorities. As per health department officials, 99% of the active cases are being treated under home isolation.
According to reports, only 34 people required hospitalization out of the 2,258 people who tested positive. Other 2,224 persons are being treated under home isolation. Those who required hospitalization are aged over 50 years and above.
