Visakhapatnam city is all gearing up for hosting two major events this month. The Presidential Fleet Review and MILAN 2022, both were scheduled to be held in February, 2022.

The Presidential Fleet Review (PFR) is a one day event and was scheduled to be held on February 21, 2022. Presidential Fleet review is about displaying the strength of Navy. Prime Minister, President, Union Defence Minister, Chief Minister, Governor, Cabinet Ministers and a number of senior officials will be attending the PFR, MILAN 2022 was scheduled to be held from February 25th to March 4th.

Naval forces from 45 countries are expected to participate in MILAN Naval Exercise. President and Prime Minister are expected to attend MILAN 2022 on 26 February, 2022.

GVMC started beautifying the city as part of the preparation for MILAN-2022 and Presidential Fleet Review. Starting from Naval Coastal Battery Road to The Park Hotel Junction, all the statues, artifacts on this the RK beach road stretch were repainted.

A new asphalt layer will be laid on this beach road stretch. All through the RK beach road, beautiful paintings will be hanged. Telugu Talli fly over divider will have plant pots set up. Dividers on the RK beach road are going to be repainted.

Temporary barricades are going to be placed on both sides of the RK Beach Road to control the crowds, as large number of people are expected gather to watch the Navy displays during MILAN 2022.

The Presidential Fleet Review 2022 will display the ships from the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and merchant vessels. 50 naval aircrafts will be performing a fly-past for the President. The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President of India reviews the fleet. 
Visakhapatnam last hosted the Presidential Fleet Review in 2016.
