Rs. 910 crores allocated for Vizag Steel Plant in Union Budget 2022



Apart from Vizag steel plant and Singareni coal mines, the Union budget 2022 has no major allocation to the Telugu states.

There are no special allocations to the institutions other than the Central, Tribal and Vizag Petroleum Universities.

It is not clear how much funding will be available specifically for institutes in AP and Telangana, as the centre has announced the funds to IITs, IIMs, ISIS, AITs, Triple ITs, AIIMS and the National Institute of Design across the country. 


From the union budget 2022 that is presented by Finance Minister in Lok Sabha yesterday, it is learnt that the centre has allocated Rs. 910 crores in the budget to Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (Visakhapatnam Steel Plant), that is moving towards privatization.

for the Indian Institute of Petroleum, Energy University in Visakhapatnam got an allocation of Rs. 150 crores and Rs. 207 crores has been allocated for the Vizag Port Trust. The state's share in central taxes has increased compared to the last year’s budget.
