Visakhapatnam, June 11, 2025:
In a proud moment for the city and school community, Master Sabbavarapu Sankara, a Class IX student of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Visakhapatnam, has been selected to represent India in Artistic Skating at the 20ᵗʰ Asian Roller-Skating Championship, scheduled to take place from July 20 to 30, 2025, in Jocheon City, Republic of Korea.

The prestigious championship is being organized by the Korea Roller Sports Federation in association with the Government of Jocheon City.

Master Sankara's selection is a result of years of hard work and sporting excellence. Since 2019, he has amassed an impressive tally of 34 gold, 21 silver, and 8 bronze medals in district, state, and national skating competitions, showcasing his consistency and extraordinary talent in the sport.

The school authorities, including Sri S. G. Chalam, Convener, along with the Principal and Governing Body Members, extended heartfelt congratulations to Master Sankara. They praised his achievement and wished him continued success in his international journey.

The school community expressed immense pride and assured their unwavering support as he prepares to compete on the international stage, bringing glory not only to Visakhapatnam but to India as a whole.
