Visakhapatnam Will Soon Welcome Cruise Ships

These ships will allow visitors to explore South India's scenic coastline and cultural landmarks, resulting in a significant boost to the region's tourism sector. MSC and Cordelia will operate their ships from Vizag beginning in May and June, respectively as the new cruise terminal at the port is being built at a cost of Rs 72.26 crore and is expected to be completed by May, just in time for the first ship to arrive.
To accommodate cruise ships, the spacious berth being built has a dredged depth of 9.50 meters. The port authorities have agreed to provide berths for cruise ships every three days, and the new terminal will allow for continuous cruise service from Visakhapatnam, with a maximum capacity of 2,500 tourists. The cruises will have 11 floors and can hold between 1,500 and 2,000 passengers at a time. Food courts, bars, spas, salons, theatres, nightclubs, fitness centers, DJ entertainment, live bands, adventure activities, shopping malls, and live shows are among the amenities available to visitors. Special fun programs for children will also be organized.
