Visakhapatnam-based SteelonCall, an online steel marketplace, earned the prestigious “Excellence in Start‑up” award at the inaugural FAPCCI Excellence Awards 2025, held on June 10 in Visakhapatnam. The accolade was received on behalf of the company by its MD & CEO, Ravi Kumar Anumalisetty, at a ceremony graced by dignitaries including Industry & Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath and Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat.

The transition from traditional steel trading to a digital marketplace has positioned SteelonCall as one of India’s fastest‑growing platforms. With over 7,760 orders processed, 120+ brands, and 3,600+ steel products, the startup is defying conventional sector expectations.

The FAPCCI jury, headed by former Supreme Court justice Jasti Chelameswar and featuring eminent leaders like Prof. M. Chandrasekhar of IIM‑Visakhapatnam and business magnate Srini Raju, awarded SteelonCall alongside giants like ITC Ltd and Divi’s Laboratories.

In his acceptance remarks, an official from SteelonCall stated the award “strengthens our resolve to keep building solutions that empower India's construction economy with speed, trust, and transparency”. The recognition highlights the growing emphasis on innovation within traditional industries in Andhra Pradesh and reinforces Vizag’s emergence as a thriving startup ecosystem.
