The city police have issued a recommendation for residents to install Closed Circuit (CC) cameras in their homes to bolster security measures.

In an effort to reduce the incidence of robberies, especially when residents are away, the South Crime Inspector, K. Srinivasa Rao, has emphasized the importance of informing the police about travel plans.

According to Rao, residents can now benefit from a Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS), which makes it easier to keep an eye on unoccupied homes.

Residents are encouraged to download the LHMS AP police app and provide the necessary details about their family members and travel plans.

Upon receiving this information, the police will take proactive steps by visiting the residence and installing CC cameras. These cameras are directly linked to the police control room, enabling continuous surveillance.

A recent instance in the Steel Plant sector-11 highlights the system’s effectiveness. Before leaving for a trip, a resident informed the police, who then installed CC cameras at the house.

This setup allowed the house to be monitored remotely, and any attempt at unauthorized entry would trigger an alarm at the control room, prompting immediate police response.

Inspector Rao strongly advises all residents to install CC cameras at their homes, noting that this measure significantly enhances the safety and security of their properties.

By utilizing the LHMS AP app and installing surveillance systems, residents can ensure their homes are well-protected even in their absence.
