Visakhapatnam: In a remarkable display of teamwork, 450 participants of all ages gathered in Visakhapatnam to achieve a Guinness World Record for the "Largest Display of Crochet Squares."

The group assembled an impressive 58,112 crochet squares in record time, far exceeding the required 20,000 for the title.

Swapnil Dangarikar, a Guinness World Records representative from London, presented the official certificate to Madhavi Suribhatla, the mastermind behind the initiative.

Participants ranged from six-year-old girls to 86-year-old women, showcasing the power of community effort.

The event was graced by former Intech Visakhapatnam convenor Mayak Kumari Deo as chief guest, and Dr. Renuka Rani, secretary of Crafts Council of Andhra Pradesh, as guest of honor. This achievement not only earned global recognition but also highlighted the spirit of unity and craftsmanship in Visakhapatnam.
