Water Supply Disruption in Vizag Zone 3: Residents to Face Inconvenience
Residents of Visakhapatnam's Zone 3 will encounter water supply disruptions on April 18 and 19 due to repairs on the main water pipeline.
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) officials have alerted residents about the temporary inconvenience and assured alternative measures.
GVMC Commissioner CM Srikanth Varma stated in an official announcement that the 600mm diameter GRP pumping main pipeline,
Responsible for supplying drinking water from TSR complex to Block-6/7 Reservoir near Srinagar vegetable market in Zone 3, has sustained damage.
To mitigate the impact, water will be supplied through tankers to affected areas. The disruption will affect various wards and areas, including ward 16 (KRM Colony, Shivalayam), ward 17 (Adarsh Nagar,
MVP Colony Sector-8), ward 19 (Peda Jalaripeta, LB Colony), and ward 20 (Chinna Waltair, East Point Colony). Additionally, on Friday,
Disruptions will extend to ward 22 (New Resapuvanipalem, Pithapuram Colony) and ward 23 (Maddilapalem, Automobile junction road), along with ward 24 (Chaitanya Nagar area).
Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements to cope with the temporary water supply interruption during the specified dates.
