With a record sale of over 30 crore flags, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign generated over Rs 500 crore in business
Due to the pandemic over the last 2 years, celebrations did not happen on a large scale, leading to a loss to flag manufacturers. The "Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign" has boosted the sales of flags. This campaign set a record sale of 30 crore flags, leading to over 500 crore business in 20 days. This movement has also provided employment to over 10 million people.
Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) National President B.C.Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal released a joint statement stating that the "Har Ghar Tiranga movement has depicted the capacity and capability of Indian entrepreneurs who manufactured more than 30 crore flags in a record time of about 20 days, catering to the unprecedented demand of Tiranga among the people".
Ease of doing business for MSMEs: "Traders in Surat, which is the country's largest textile market alone, have delivered more than 5 crore national flags." Many, from small businesses to local tailors, have benefited from this campaign.
