Women cab drivers will soon hit the Vizag roads

Women are filling every role and breaking down all stereotypes. In an initiative called Femi Cabs, about 10 women have signed up to pursue a career path as cab drivers. For the first time, this programme was launched in Visakhapatnam. Only women who want to earn a living by driving are currently chosen.

The main goal of this programme is not only to provide employment opportunities to women but also to improve the safety of female passengers, who hail the cabs. After obtaining LLR, training will be provided for 30 days, and licenses will be issued following the training.

Help@11th is conducting this programme. Fluentgrid is the training sponsor for this first batch. Through this initiative, more women can take up cab driving as a full-time career in the years to come.
