Can you believe there are not one, not two but 30 different types of biryani? If you eat one type each day, you could go on discovering new varieties for a whole month. Naturally, the best biryani places are always crowded.

It is difficult to find a seat without waiting for long hours. Based on our Hello Vizag follower's opinion we have curated a list of seven places that offer you the best biryani in Vizag. So when you’re craving a steaming hot plate of biryani, you can check out our list. It has a few places that aren’t very crowded, but serve the yummiest food and are open till late at night. 

1. Kamat

We can’t talk about the best biryani in Vizag without mentioning Kamat. They have several outlets across the city and the quality of food in each one is A1. No wonder there’s always a queue in front of the store, for both dine-in and takeaways.

2. Muntaj Biryani

Muntaj Biryani serves what even the most famous biryani places don’t offer, the Fish Biryani. Well, thanks to their budget-friendly menu and lip-smacking biryani, you’ll hardly find this place empty. The biryani here will make your stomach super heavy and will be super light on the pocket too.

3. Zeeshan Restaurant - Apna Hyderabadi Food

Zeeshan is the perfect restaurant to stop by after a long day of shopping at Jagadama. The place is famous for Hyderabadi biryani as the name itself says. This is the branch of the Hyderabad based restaurant, the biryani is made with a twist, by adding some Mughlai flavours. It’s said that they cook the meat so well that it falls off the bones the moment you touch it. 

4. The Spicy Venue 

The simple interiors of The Spicy Venue believe its food, its origins in the Telugu kitchens of Andhra, this biryani is spicier than most. The star of the show here is the MLA Potlam Biryani. It comes wrapped in a paper-thin yet deceptively tensile omelette that holds the rice and minced mutton and prawns within. 


5. Bombay Restaurant

Keeping things simple, Bombay Restaurant serves the best biryani in local fare. Find a seat at one of the simply laid tables and settle down to their old-timey dishes. One can trigger upon the sepia-toned Hyderabadi Biryani, and the Mutton Biryani. 

6. Satyam Restaurant

Crammed in the impossibly crowded streets of Diamond Park, Satyam Restaurant doesn’t look like a restaurant for biryani from the outside. But you’ll be rewarded with the authentic delectable biryani that could make a grown man cry tears of joy. Hot biryani is served to overflow with fragrant rice, and glistening boiled egg that sits atop the heaped mound with flair.

7. Ram Chandra Hotel Gajuwaka

The Ram Chandra Hotel is never not crowded, and their biryanis might be the reason why. Their perfectly spiced biryani attracts hundreds of people every single day. Definitely visit this place for a heavy lunch. One can find huge crowds waiting outside both on weekdays and weekends.
