83rd Annual National Surgical Conference 'ASICON' to Convene in Visakhapatnam from December 13 to 16
The prestigious Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) is set to host its 83rd annual national conference, known as 'ASICON,' at Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam from December 13 to 16.
The four-day event anticipates the active participation of over 8,000 surgeons from India and around the globe.
Organized by Dr. G. Santa Rao, former Director of Medical Education, and Dr. P.V. Ramana Murthy, the conference will welcome delegates from the USA, the UK, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, and SAARC countries.
Renowned surgeons from across India, including Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jain, Dr. Probal Neogi, Dr. Pratapsinh Varute, Dr. Banwarilal Yadav, and others, will join the event.
International experts from SAARC countries, such as Dr. Neil Mortensen, Dr. Anant Desai, Dr. Yasuhiro Kodera (Japan), and others, will contribute to the diverse discussions.
The conference will feature medical sessions covering various surgery-related topics, book releases, and presentations by 2,500 young surgeons with posters and scientific papers on December 13. Master surgeons will provide video demonstrations of operative surgeries.
The convocation, scheduled for the evening of December 13, will have Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu as the chief guest, awarding fellowships in surgery.
The inaugural function on December 14 will see the participation of a former Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as the chief guest. Additionally, Lifetime Achievement Awards will be bestowed upon esteemed surgeons Dr. P. Raghuram and Dr. Kamineni Pattabhiramaiah during the conference.
