In a significant development, Thai Air Asia has revealed plans to launch a fresh international flight service connecting Bangkok and Visakhapatnam.

The anticipated commencement date for this new route is April 9, 2024, pending necessary consultations with airport authorities.

The airline aims to provide this service three times a week, with operations likely scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

The aircraft of choice for this route will be the A320 and A321.

According to the proposed schedule, the flight is expected to arrive in Visakhapatnam from Bangkok at 8 pm, departing from Visakhapatnam between 8:30 pm and 8:45 pm, and reaching Bangkok by 1 am.

However, the Tours and Travels Operators Association of Andhra Pradesh (TTAA) has expressed concerns about the inconvenient timing of the flights.

This timing, particularly the arrival in Bangkok at midnight, raises worries about additional hotel expenses for travelers.

In response to these concerns, the TTAA has reached out to Thai Air Asia, urging a reconsideration of the flight schedule to better accommodate the needs and preferences of passengers.

The outcome of this dialogue remains to be seen as both parties navigate discussions on optimizing the new international flight service.
