A fleet of ships are on their way to Visakhapatnam for PFR 2022 || Vizag gears up for PRF and MILAN 2022
A fleet of ships from Andaman Nicobar Command (ANC), tri-service command, Southern Naval Command and Western Naval Command, Indian Coast Guard and merchant ships from Shipping Corporation of India already on their way to Visakhapatnam to participate in the PFR scheduled on February 2021.
The district administration is making elaborate arrangements in coordination with the state administration and Indian Navy. This is the second time that PFR is being hosted in Visakhapatnam after 2006.
The PFR is scheduled to be held in February 21, while Milan will be hosted from February 25 to March 4. This is the first time Milan will be hosted in Visakhapatnam under the Eastern Naval Command (ENC).
42 countries have confirmed participation in MILAN 2022. According to Navy sources, while some of the Navies are sending ships and others only aircraft for the multilateral exercise, few others are sending only the delegation. Few other navies are sending ships, aircrafts along with the delegation.
A new asphalt layer will be laid on this beach road stretch. All through the RK beach road, beautiful paintings will be hanged. Telugu Talli fly over divider will have plant pots set up. Dividers on the RK beach road are going to be repainted.
Temporary barricades are going to be placed on both sides of the RK Beach Road to control the crowds, as large number of people are expected gather to watch the Navy displays during MILAN 2022.
The police are not taking any chance regarding safety measures as there will heavy movement of VVIPs and VIPs during the PFR and MILAN events. Commissioner of Police, Manish Kumar Sinha declared a temporary red zone for 48 hours along the city police Commissionerate jurisdiction.
According to this restriction flying drones is prohibited. Red zone will come into effect from February 20 to 22. Para gliders, unmanned aerial vehicles, microlight aircraft, unnamed aerial system services and hot air balloons will be prohibited February 19 to March 5. Fishing will also be banned in the anchorage area that stretches from RK Beach to Tenneti Park from February 18 to March 4.
