Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday during his meet with the Tollywood stars urged them to shift the Tollywood industry to Visakhapatnam from Hyderabad.

He even promised them that he would be providing house sites and land for film city in the city of destiny.

Film stars Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and others met CM Jagan to discuss about fixation rates of movie tickets in Andhra Pradesh. He took this meet up as an opportunity and tried marketing for Visakhapatnam as the new adda of Tollywood.

He also stated that the Telugu Film Industry earns more revenue from Andhra Pradesh than Telangana both in terms of the number of theatres and population.

CM dropped enough indications that Visakhapatnam would be the new city of the state of Andhra Pradesh. CM said that he would be developing a locality in Vizag just like Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad for residences of film actors and the people connected with the industry.

He also said that he is ready to allocate lands for the industry for establishing studios in the port city.
Andhra contributes a lot for the film industry. It has 60% of population while Telangana has 40%, CM said.
