Ability People, in collaboration with Concentrix, donated 50 wheelchairs to KGH
As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Ability People, in collaboration with Concentrix Daksh service Private Limited donated wheelchairs to King George Hospital (KGH) Visakhapatnam on 6 April 2022. The team donated 50 high-end Vermeiren lightweight CE certified wheelchairs with ISO standards. MLC Vamsi Krishna Yadav graced the event as the chief guest.
Vamsi Krishna appreciated the team for taking the initiative in the activities. The chief guest further said that there is a strong need for the government to team up with civil society members like The Ability People for improving this 99-year hospital. He appreciated the efforts of Mr Dilip Patro and Dr Manisha K Palaskar.
On this occasion, Dr Maithili, Superintendent KGH, thanked the Concentrix CSR unit and the ability people team for their generosity and empathy towards poor and needy patients.
Mr Dilip Patro, who runs a Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), supported the rehabilitation centre and assured complete financial and health support to Below Poverty Line (BPL) and needy patients. He also insisted on making good use of government-provided toll-free helpline service-18004258911.
Superintended, KGH Dr Maithili felicitated Mrs Pratima Josephine, Senior Manager, HR, Concentrix. Team Concentrix assured that they would provide any support in future for the patients visiting KGH and take rehabilitation care to the next level.
Dr Manisha k Palaskar, strategic partner and Fundraising head of The Ability People and the President Primary health care foundation, said that we should not forget the bitter experience of COVID 19. He further added that there is a need to create a robust healthcare system, and it is every citizen's responsibility to make it happen.
