Visakhapatnam's growing data centre sector has received another major boost, with AdaniConneX Private Limited signing an agreement to acquire 100% of Vizag Mega Data Center Park Limited for ₹1,085.51 crore.

AdaniConneX, a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX, executed the share purchase agreement on November 5, 2026. The development was disclosed by Adani Enterprises on November 6.

The transaction is expected to be completed by November 10, 2026, according to the company's regulatory filing.

Land and Licences to Support Data Centre Development

The acquisition is expected to give AdaniConneX access to a sizeable land parcel and key licences required for infrastructure development in Visakhapatnam.

Vizag Mega Data Center Park Limited was incorporated on February 3, 2026, and is engaged in infrastructure development activities. Although the company has not yet commenced commercial operations, its land assets and secured licences are expected to provide a head start for future infrastructure projects.

The acquisition is being made through cash consideration against shares.
