AP CM Jagan Reddy Announced in the Cabinet Meeting that he will Begin Working from Vizag in July
In a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that he will relocate to Visakhapatnam and begin working from here beginning in July. The chief minister also hinted at a possible reshuffle and told certain ministers that if their performance did not improve, they might be dropped.
CM Jagan announced at the Global Investors Summit that the city would be the state's administrative capital and that he would soon relocate there. He supported decentralized development and proposed establishing three capitals to ensure the state's equal development. According to the government, Amaravati will be the legislative capital, Visakhapatnam the executive capital, and Kurnool the judicial capital.
While the Amaravati capital issue is still before the Supreme Court, the CM announced on January 31 that Visakhapatnam would become the capital of AP soon. At the International Diplomatic Alliance Meeting in New Delhi, he stated, "I'm here to invite you to Visakhapatnam, which will become our capital in the near future. I will be shifting in the coming months. I'd like to invite you to the Global Investors Summit that we're hosting in Visakhapatnam."
