Arrangements like never before for the G-20 Summit meetings in Vizag
The second G-20 Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) meeting under the G-20 India presidency will be held in Visakhapatnam. All G20-related events and delegates' hospitality will take place at the Radisson Blu in Rushikonda. The delegates will participate in panel discussions, which will be followed by amusement and entertainment facilities.
From March 28 until the summit delegates leave the city, the Andhra Pradesh government will organise special entertainment programmes. On March 28, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will attend a gala dinner for G-20 delegates from 40 countries. On March 29, there will be yoga and meditation programmes, and on March 30, there will be a local tour of three selected beaches. A workshop with MA&UD officials will be held on March 31.
The state government is also organising a week-long Jan Bhagidhari (people's participation) festival in the city from March 18 to March 26, which will eventually end with the Vizag Carnival featuring Andhra Pradesh's classical and folk dances. Yoga4All, a city-wide yoga drive, will be held in all major public parks on March 18. The Vizag City Marathon will take place on March 19. On March 22, A mock G-20 conclave will be held with students. On March 24, approximately 15,000 people will participate in a seaside beach cleaning programme. On March 25, a free art contest will be held for all aspiring artists from across the city.
