In Visakhapatnam, Bengalis came together to celebrate the arrival of their New Year, 'Poila Baisakh', with vibrant tradition and joyous festivities.
The East Coast Railway Kalibari members kicked off the day with a spirited 'Prabhat Pheri' along the RK Beach Road, dressed elegantly in traditional attire.
As they strolled, the air was filled with the melodious tunes of timeless Bengali songs, many penned by the legendary Rabindranath Tagore.
Later in the day, the Kalibari became the epicenter of rituals and cultural performances.
Puja ceremonies added a sacred ambiance to the festivities, while cultural programs infused the evening with energy and enthusiasm.
To honor the significance of the occasion, distinguished members of the Bengali community were felicitated, marking yet another memorable 'Poila Baisakh' celebration.
