Rich Tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on His 133rd Birth Anniversary



In Visakhapatnam, various governmental departments, academic institutions, and private organizations came together to honor the legacy of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the occasion of his 133rd birth anniversary.

GVMC Commissioner C M Saikanth Varma hailed Dr. Ambedkar as a repository of profound knowledge, emphasizing his life's narrative as an exemplar and a wellspring of inspiration for all.

At the GVMC office, Commissioner Varma, accompanied by Additional Commissioner KS Viswanathan, partook in the commemorative event, offering floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar's portrait.

Varma underscored Ambedkar's unique stature among Indian leaders, highlighting that the Constitution he sculpted remains an enduring monument in history, serving as a blueprint for all.

He further extolled Ambedkar's prowess in jurisprudence, urging the youth to emulate his pursuit of knowledge for invaluable insights.


Meanwhile, Andhra University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. PVGD Prasad Reddy, joined the birth anniversary celebrations at the university, contributing to the collective homage paid to Dr. Ambedkar's legacy.

Additionally, the NSS units of St. Joseph's College for Women honored Dr. B.R. Ambedkar with profound respect.

NSS Program Officer Dr. K. Manikya Kumari and student volunteers reflected on Dr. Ambedkar's monumental contributions to India's independence.

Dr. Kumar lauded Ambedkar's visionary outlook and the progressive tenets he embedded within the Constitution, ensuring fundamental rights such as freedom of speech, expression, equality, justice, and gender equality, along with uplifting marginalized communities and women.
