Brandix India Receives Prestigious Greentech Environment Award 2023



In a notable achievement, Brandix India Apparel City Private Limited (BIAC), renowned as one of Asia's largest dedicated apparel and textile manufacturing parks, has been honored with the esteemed 'Greentech Environment Award 2023' in the category of environmental excellence.

The accolade was bestowed by the Greentech Foundation, marking a significant recognition of BIAC's commitment to environmental sustainability.

The award ceremony took place during the Greentech Foundation's Environment Summit in Sonmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary to the government of Assam,

Arup Kumar Misra, Chairman of Pollution Control Board (PCB), Assam, and Shantanu Kumar Dutta, Member Secretary, PCB, presented the award to BIAC.

Mohini Rani Sabhavath, Sustainability Environmental Engineer, accepted the award on behalf of BIAC.


BIAC's dedication to environmental sustainability is evident in its multifaceted approach towards ensuring a sustainable future. The park meets about 50 percent of its annual water consumption sustainably through innovative rainwater harvesting ponds.

Pioneering as the first industry in the state to install a solar sludge drying process unit, BIAC proudly holds the status of being a zero-landfill apparel park.

With a vision to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, BIAC is actively investing in clean energy, optimizing overall energy consumption, and establishing carbon sinks through extensive plantations.

Neil Rosayro, the Country Head of Brandix India, expressed pride in receiving the environmental excellence award, emphasizing its significance as a milestone in BIAC's ongoing commitment to sustainable practices.

Rosayro added, "It stands as a testimony to our continued commitment towards sustainable practices and inspires us to push boundaries for a greener and more sustainable future."
