Bridging Military Discipline to Civilian Life: Catering Manager Course in Visakhapatnam

In Visakhapatnam, the challenges of transitioning from a structured military life to the more flexible civilian world were recently underscored during a ceremony organized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Andhra Pradesh.

SVUM Prasad, the former joint director of DTE, emphasized these challenges while addressing Indian Armed Forces personnel at a certificate issuing ceremony for the assistant catering manager course, a 20-week-long program aimed at preparing military personnel for civilian careers.

Prasad emphasized the importance of leveraging the skills acquired during military service effectively, drawing parallels between utilizing these skills and employing ammunition strategically based on the demands of a situation.

He highlighted how this course serves as a valuable stepping stone for armed forces personnel looking to embark on a second profession in the civilian sector.

Principal K Venkata Ramana of the Food Craft Institute commended the graduates for their dedication in completing the rigorous course, recognizing the significance of their achievement.

During the ceremony, certificates were awarded to the successful candidates by the chief guest, while Associate Lecturer N Parthasarathy and other faculty members graced the occasion with their presence, reaffirming the importance of such initiatives in facilitating a smooth transition for armed forces personnel into civilian life.
