Visakhapatnam Port Authority Facilitates Trade Dialogue in Hyderabad
In a bid to enhance trade prospects and foster economic growth, the Visakhapatnam Port Authority recently collaborated with the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry to host a trade meet in Hyderabad.
This strategic event aimed to engage prominent importers and exporters from Telangana and encourage them to leverage the opportunities available through the Vizag Port.
At the helm of the trade meet, R.N. Harikrishna, the chief mechanical engineer, extended a warm welcome to attendees and emphasized the significance of utilizing Visakhapatnam Port for both domestic and international trade.
He underscored the pivotal role of the port in advancing the export-import businesses of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana while highlighting its potential for cargo enhancement.
During the event, B Ratna Sekhar, the VPA traffic manager, delivered a comprehensive presentation detailing the developmental initiatives and infrastructure advancements at Vizag Port.
This included insights into berths capacity, cargo handling facilities, transportation connectivity via rail and road, as well as environmental sustainability measures undertaken by the port.
Dr. M. Angamuthu, chairman of VPA, commemorated the occasion by reaffirming the commitment to support the economies of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
He underscored the friendly policies offered by VPA and urged attendees to capitalize on the services provided by Visakhapatnam Port to drive economic prosperity in the region.
