Citizens Urged to Dial 1912 Amid Heavy Rain Alert in Vizag

With heavy rainfall warnings issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (AP EPDCL) has urged residents in 11 districts to dial the toll-free emergency number 1912 for assistance.
In a statement, DISCOM chairman and managing director I. Prithvithej assured that all necessary measures are in place for rapid emergency response during heavy rains or cyclones. The government has also advised the public to stay alert as the forecasted rains stem from a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal.
