DPS celebrates Annual Day with the theme "Resilience-Save the Earth"
When we learn how to become resilient, we learn how to embrace the beautiful broad spectrum of the human experience.
Delhi Public School in Anandapuram, Visakhapatnam, celebrated its annual day on the theme of "Resilience-Save the Earth" at Gurajada Kalakshetram on December 30, 2022. These celebrations were held with a message to unveil before more than two thousand people. The chief guest for the celebrations was Oruganti Naresh Kumar, the founder, and CEO of Symbiosis Technologies, Visakhapatnam, and the special invitee was Jeelani Mohammed, Sr. Administrative Officer of IIM, Visakhapatnam.
The annual day has created awareness among the students and attendees about nature and our role in preserving it for future generations. The celebrations began with the Ganesh Vandanam, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Naresh Kumar; the guest of honor, Geelani Mohammed; Mr. Dhanunjay Rao, the founder chairman; Revanth Viswanadha, the pro-vice chairman; the correspondent, Suma Revanth; the headmaster, Chiranjeevi; and the head of students’ and parents’ affairs, Ranganath. Students at Delhi Public School are striving their best to live up to the school’s motto, "Service Before Self." The students showcased the same throughout the celebrations. The cultural programs presented by the students enthralled all and sundry. Every event was unique in its own way and reached the audience with a message.
On the cool, pleasant evening, an array of talent was displayed in the form of vibrant songs, wonderful dances, and thought-provoking skits. The presentation of cultural programs was in various segments: culture, awakening, creativity, and social responsibility. Students performed the various dance forms of India and the West to show brotherhood. Sivathandavam to show the wrath of nature, William-SOS to show damage, fusion to show brotherhood, pyramids to show strength and endurance, and the theme song orchestra were the special attractions of the day.
During these celebrations, dignitaries launched the alumni. Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr. Revanth Viswanadha, and Correspondent Ms. Suma Revanth read out the annual day report, and they congratulated and felicitated the students who brought laurels in academics, sports, and other areas. The chief guest said, "Take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you go." "Celebrate what you have achieved and raise the bar each time you succeed." He also added that schools have the power to create awareness among the people about nature and act to conserve it for future generations.
On this special occasion, Resilience-Save the Earth, the school management appreciated the continuous endeavors and committed effort of DPS.
