Sankranti Special Trains will run from Visakhapatnam to clear the extra rush
In both Telugu states, the Sankranti passenger rush has begun. To clear the passenger rush, both RTC and the railways have made the necessary arrangements. The APSRTC began operating Sankranti special buses; now, the East Coast Railway has decided to operate Sankranti special trains from Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam to clear the extra rush during the festival.
The train number 08505 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Sankranti special train will leave Vizag on January 11, 13, and 16 at 7.30 PM and arrive in Secunderabad the next day at 07.10 AM. The return train number 08506 (Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Sankranti special train) will be leaving from Secunderabad on January 12, 14, and 17 at 7.40 p.m. and reaching Visakhapatnam the next day at 8.20 a.m.
These special trains will be equipped with six second-class AC coaches, twelve third-class AC coaches, one Divyangjan coach, and one motor car. Apart from Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad stations, these trains will have stoppage stations at Jagaon, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Rayanapadu, Eluru, Rajamundry, Samarlakota, Annavaram, Tuni, and Duvvada.
