Under the banner of the Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM), women in Visakhapatnam participated in a rally titled 'Nari Shakti Vandana Marathon' held at Ariolova on Tuesday.

The event, graced by BJP State vice president P.V.N. Madhav as the chief guest, aimed to raise awareness about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives for the welfare and empowerment of women.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Madhav highlighted the importance of the programme in showcasing women's gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi and his government's efforts in advancing women's empowerment.

He emphasized the significance of the marathons, organized nationwide, as a means for women to express appreciation for the Prime Minister's initiatives.

Ummidi Sujatha, BJMM district president, praised Prime Minister Modi for his dedication to women's empowerment, citing various schemes introduced for their benefit.

She credited him for the passage of the Bill providing 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies, underscoring his commitment to gender equality and women's representation in politics.

The 'Nari Shakti Vandana' marathon served as a platform for women to come together and celebrate their strength and achievements.

Through this event, the BJMM reiterated its commitment to advancing the cause of women's empowerment and acknowledging the transformative initiatives spearheaded by Prime Minister Modi for the betterment of women across the nation.
