Makena Srinivasa Rao, a retired Judge, and his brother Makena Sitharam Patrudu have stepped forward with a generous donation of ₹3 lakh to Mrs. AVN College.

Their contribution comes in response to the college administration's appeal to alumni for support in enhancing the venerable institution, which has been serving education for 164 years.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao holds the additional distinction of having served as the president of the College Students’ Union.

In a ceremony held on Wednesday, the two brothers presented a cheque amounting to ₹1 lakh as their initial installment towards the donation.

The cheque was handed over to the Vice Chairperson and College Correspondent A.V. Adeep Bhanoji Rao.

The event witnessed the presence of Principal M. Simhadri Naidu along with executive members of the Alumni Association, namely G. Tyagaraju and N. Nageswara Rao.

This gesture not only reflects the deep-rooted connection of the alumni with their alma mater but also highlights their commitment to its continued growth and prosperity.
