Empowering Youth: Yuva Sakthi Sadassu Summit
In a bid to empower the youth of Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh, the Pulses organization is set to host the Yuva Sakthi Sadassu summit on Friday at Gurajada Kalakshetram in the port city.
With an anticipated participation of around 10,000 engineering and higher education students, the event aims to address current challenges and highlight future opportunities in entrepreneurship and employment.
Speaking to the media ahead of the summit, Pulsus CEO Gedela Srinubabu raised pertinent questions about the mass exodus of graduates from Andhra Pradesh in search of employment opportunities elsewhere.
He highlighted that over 80% of graduates, out of a total of five lakh, have left the state for jobs, with approximately 50 lakh graduates departing over the past 12 years. This concerning trend underscores the urgent need to create local opportunities and retain talent within the state.
Srinubabu emphasized the importance of equipping youth with the necessary tools and resources to foster economic growth within their communities. By leveraging advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, students can make significant contributions to local industries while enhancing their skill sets.
The summit will delve into the pivotal role of youth in driving Visakhapatnam's economic prosperity and global recognition. Discussions will revolve around strategies to attract diverse industries to the region, thereby generating abundant local employment opportunities and accelerating economic development.
Additionally, measures to curb the migration of graduates and postgraduates from Andhra Pradesh will be explored, ensuring the retention of talent and fostering a conducive environment for growth and innovation.
