Explosion at Dakshin Energy Unit in Visakhapatnam's Pharma City Claims Two Lives

A major industrial accident at the Dakshin Energy unit in Pharma City, Parawada, near Visakhapatnam, resulted in the loss of two lives after a powerful explosion triggered a massive fire on the premises.

Emergency response teams, firefighters, and district officials rushed to the site following the incident. Rescue operations were launched immediately amid fears that additional workers could be trapped inside the facility.

Preliminary reports suggest that the explosion occurred in a section involved in plastic waste recycling. Authorities suspect that a tank explosion may have sparked the fire, which quickly spread through parts of the unit. Thick smoke engulfed the area as firefighters worked tirelessly for several hours to bring the blaze under control.

Officials have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion and examine whether all safety protocols were being followed. The tragedy has once again highlighted concerns surrounding industrial safety practices within the region's manufacturing and pharmaceutical zones.

Authorities have assured that a detailed inquiry will be conducted and necessary measures will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
