An accident on the NH-16 near Kancharapalem injured five people, including four women cricketers and their manager from the Baroda Senior women's T20 cricket team. Their bus collided with a lorry after the lorry driver applied a sudden break as a result of a motorist abruptly stopping his bike.
The accident occurred while the team was traveling in a private tourist bus from their hotel to Vizag airport.
Team manager Neelam Gupte and injured players Kesha, Amrita, Pragya, and Nidhi were taken to a nearby private hospital.
According to the doctors, none of them were in danger. The police have registered a case regarding the accident.
