On June 15, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao, accompanied by Vizag South MLA Vamsi Krishan Srinivas, inaugurated and laid the foundation for civic works worth approximately ₹3.6 crore across multiple South Division wards. The initiative targets comprehensive infrastructural improvements in localities including Gollalapalem, Allipuram SC Colony Road, Bhupesh Nagar, Chakali Gedda, Gangula Gedda, Bowdara Road, Coconut Garden, Mantha Vari Veedhi, Sunnapu Veedhi Panja Junction, Kanaka Mahalakshmi Temple area, Kotha Agraharam, Kotha Jalaripeta, Golla Veedhi, and others.
Key projects include the construction and repair of roads, upgrades to drainage systems, restoration of parks, borewell installations, community building maintenance, archways, and compound wall fencing. Mayor Rao emphasized immediate commencement of these developments and strict adherence to quality standards and deadlines. MLA Srinivas underscored the administration’s commitment to improving essential infrastructure throughout every ward in the South constituency, praising the Mayor’s proactive leadership.
