Harmony Unveiled: Natyam Natya Kalakshetra's 23rd Anniversary Extravaganza
In a mesmerizing display of rhythmic elegance and cultural celebration, Natyam Natya Kalakshetra Music and Dance Association marked its 23rd Anniversary at the enchanting Kalabharathi Auditorium on Saturday evening.
The stage was adorned with a kaleidoscope of traditional dance forms, each performance a unique tapestry of artistry. The evening's luminaries included the eminent Chief Guest, Kuchipudi Sri Siddendra Yogi, the illustrious Kuchipudi Kalakshetra Principal, Dr. Vedantam Ramalinga Shastri, and Distinguished Guests, including the erudite Chief Editor of Dance India English Monthly, Battina Ranga Vikram Kumar.
The atmosphere was charged with creativity and cultural richness as VMDA Arts Secretary GRK Prapasad (Rambabu), Kuchipudi Kalakshetra Principal Harira Murthy, WADA founders Kannam V Ramana Rao, and Natyaravali Music and Dance Academy founders Ummidi Mahesh Babu, graced the occasion as dear guests.
The visionary founders of the organization, Dr. K. Madhavi and K. Venkat, added a ceremonial glow by formally lighting the Jyoti and steering the dance company under the banner of Natyanjali.
Dr. K. Madhavi and K. Venkat, a dynamic couple proficient in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music, showcased their unwavering dedication to the performing arts. With a journey spanning 23 years, their self-directedness and supervision through Natyam Sanstha have been instrumental in reaching this milestone.
The performances were a testament to the essence of tradition, unfolding with the Ganesh Stuti theme in Hamsadhwani Ragam/Aditalam. The audience was spellbound by the gracefully executed Pushpanjali in the Nata raga and Kirtanam in the Hindola raga. Nateshkautvam in Hamsadhwaniragam and Devistuti elements in Shanmukhapriyaragam infused joy into the hearts of the spectators.
The aura of devotion enveloped the audience during the performance of Dasavatara's work in Thillang raga. Ashtapadi and slokanatyam, presented in raga malika, showcased the dancers' prowess.
Shiva Stuti in Revathi Ragam and Padam in Hamsadhwani Ragam bared the soul of Bharatanatyam. Annamacharya Kriti in Bheg Ragam and Hanuman Chalisa in Ragamalika captivated the audience with the dancers' expressive abhinaya skills. The traditional dance concert concluded with a spirited Thillana in Dhanasri ragam, followed by Mangalam in Saurashtra ragam.
The stage came alive with the performances of Ananya, Shvetika, Shrestha, Manvita, Sai Abhignah, Darshini, Nitya, Rajashri Nipuna, Vinidra, Saivarsha, Tanmayi, Srinidhi, Kshitija, Srilekha, Pavani, Lalitasreenidhi, Darshini, Hema Shruti Tatharu Chakka. T Pratibha Pathavala infused life into their respective dances, while NNR kept the assembly entertained with his engaging commentary.
The Kalabharathi Auditorium was transformed into a haven of artistic brilliance, resonating with the applause and cheers of a captivated audience that filled every seat.
