Indian Army's Participation in Tiger Triumph 2024
In Visakhapatnam, over 700 Indian Army personnel are actively engaged in 'Tiger Triumph 2024', a tri-services exercise between India and the US.
This second edition of the amphibious exercise focuses on enhancing interoperability, strengthening bilateral relations, and refining capabilities in disaster relief and sub-conventional operations.
The exercise comprises two phases: the harbour phase in Visakhapatnam and the sea phase in Kakinada. With a battalion group representing the Indian Army, the exercise showcases amphibious capabilities in various scenarios, including conventional and sub-conventional operations.
The Indian Army contingent includes personnel from infantry, mechanized infantry, para SF, artillery, engineers, and supporting arms, alongside advanced weaponry and technological systems. Communication checks during the harbour phase ensure seamless coordination between the forces, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.
During the sea phase, troops execute strategic moves to a simulated island country, demonstrating precision and coordination in establishing secure perimeters and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. The exercise also features convoy operations, IED drills, and counter-ambush exercises, highlighting the forces' readiness to combat diverse challenges.
Overall, 'Tiger Triumph 2024' underscores the Indian Army's commitment to operational excellence and readiness in confronting evolving security threats.
