"India's Women's Blind Cricket Team Advances to IBSA World Games Final, Set to Face Australia"

The Indian women's blind cricket squad is poised to compete against Australia in the championship match of the 2023 IBSA World Games, scheduled for Saturday in Birmingham.

Having secured their berth in the finals, the Indian team showcased their dominance during the league stage by outplaying England, securing a remarkable 153-run victory. With an impeccable record of 12 points from 4 matches, India stands at the forefront.

Meanwhile, both England and Australia hold 3 points each. However, Australia's superior net run rate propelled them past England, securing their spot as the second finalist in the tournament.

In the recent clash, India opted to bat first and demonstrated an aggressive approach against the English bowlers. Simu Das emerged as a standout performer, scoring a quick 40 runs off just 18 balls

During the initial powerplay, India accumulated a formidable 79 runs. Gangavva H, positioned at number 6, sustained her impressive form in the Games, contributing 33 runs off 20 balls.

The runs continued to flow at a rapid pace, culminating in India posting an impressive total of 217/5 within the allotted 20 overs. This remarkable score also marks India's third instance of surpassing the 200-run mark in the tournament.

The target of 218 runs proved insurmountable for the English batters, as they managed to accumulate only 64/4 within their allotted 20 overs.
