Infinity Vizag-The IT Summit 2023 ends up as a success

The 'Infinity Vizag-2023' IT summit, held in the port city on January 20 and 21, was a massive success. This event, which was the first of its kind in India, was concluded on Saturday on a grand scale. The ITAAP organised the summit, which was co-hosted by STPI, ITE&C, the government of AP, and APIS. It brought together the most talented individuals, researchers, consultants, academics, professionals, and other stakeholders providing a unique opportunity to enhance the IT industry in the state, especially in Vizag.

The summit focused on developing a roadmap to position the AP IT industry at the forefront of innovation and deep tech domains such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, Web 3.0, and others.  Through this summit, the state government additionally focused on promoting and strengthening the IT ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. So, the various strengths of the state and particularly the city of Vizag, which is an ideal location for investment and development in the IT sector, are showcased to the attendees.

This IT Summit-Infinity Vizag was jointly inaugurated in the Hotel Marriott by Union IT Secretary Alkesh Kumar Sharma, STPI Director General Aravind Kumar, State IT Secretary Saurabh Gaur, Founder Chairman BVR Mohan Reddy, ITOP State President Sridhar Kosaraju, and MP GVL Narasimha Rao. The Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, spoke through a video conference and stated the Center will take the lead and step forward by providing whatever assistance is required for IT and its allied industries.

The first day of the summit, which was scheduled for the 20th of January to attract leading IT companies, turned out to be a success on the first day itself. Representatives and officials of the IT association successfully presented the immense opportunities available in the city and state for IT and its allied sectors. The evening of the first day’s conference focused on emerging technologies, startups and IT awards by STPI.

During the second day of the IT summit on January 21st, the focus is on business process management and technology. The state industries and information technology minister Gudivada Amarnath announced that the capital would be shifted to Visakhapatnam in a couple of months and Vizag would become a beach IT destination. He also stated that the city will have approximately 15000 digital libraries and 175 skill hubs in the coming months.

Visakhapatnam is set to become Andhra Pradesh's new IT destination. Over 60 companies have expressed an interest in establishing offices in the city. This would not only increase employment opportunities but would also position Visakhapatnam as an emerging IT destination, boosting the city's IT service exports and increasing Vizag's contribution to India's GDP.
