Visakhapatnam: A total of 12 express trains are set to face cancellations throughout the month of October.

This decision has been necessitated by ongoing interlocking work, which is associated with the commissioning of the third line at Bapatla station within the Vijayawada division of South Central Railway.

Among the list of trains affected by these cancellations are some popular routes, including the Visakhapatnam-Tirupati double-decker, the Bhubaneswar-Tirupati special, the Visakhapatnam-Chennai super-fast, the Sambalpur-Erode special, and the Visakhapatnam–Bangalore Cantonment special.

In addition to these cancellations, passengers traveling on the Dhanbad-Alleppy Bokaro Express should take note of specific changes.

Starting from October 2 and continuing until October 10, this train will be diverted to run through an alternate route passing via Nidadavolu, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, and Vijayawada. Furthermore, stoppages at Tadepalligudem and Eluru have been canceled during this period.

It is advisable for passengers planning to travel on any of these routes during October to stay informed about the latest updates and any alternative arrangements that may be put in place to minimize inconvenience.

The cancellations and diversions are expected to ensure the safety and efficiency of railway operations during the ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
