Invoking Divine Blessings: Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Maha Yagna from March 26 in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam is set to witness the auspicious ‘Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Maha Yagna’ at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, starting from March 26.
Minister for Endowments, Kottu Satyanarayana, announced this significant event during the unveiling of a poster alongside temple authorities on Wednesday.
The Maha Yagna is a sacred ritual performed to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu for the welfare and prosperity of all beings. Executive Officer of the temple, S Srinivasa Murthy, highlighted that the yagna will span from March 26 to April 1, encompassing various ceremonies and rituals.
The arrangements for the yagna are elaborate, with homams featuring five kundalas, panchahnika deeksha, and the participation of 50 Ritviks.
The pinnacle of the event, the ‘maha poornahuti,’ is scheduled for April 1, coinciding with Palguna Mulha Saptami, followed by the conclusion of the yagna with other sacred rites.
Minister Kottu Satyanarayana officially released the invitations, poster, and tickets for the yagna, emphasizing the importance of this spiritual endeavor. Notable dignitaries including Endowments Commissioner Sri Rama Satyanarayana, temple priests K Sitaramacharulu, deputy engineer (additional charge) DVS Rama Raju, and other temple officials graced the occasion, underscoring the significance of the event in the religious calendar of Visakhapatnam.
